During this year’s National Water Safety Month, the driving truth behind Water Ready Swim School is that no one is ever 100% water safe, but everyone can be water ready.
“Being ready for water means having skills and making good decisions,” said Jennifer May, ex-competitive swimmer, a mother of three and founder of Water Ready Swim School. “Let us build a survival-first swim plan for you or your child.”
Parents form the first line of defense with these basic rules: The child must ask permission before going near the water, including the bathtub, or any body of water including lakes, pools, or docks. And never ever leave a child alone in or near the water.
The Water Ready System includes an unmatched, time-tested swim curriculum to build safety skills for recreation, swim team preparation, or for just feeling more comfortable in the water. Students never sit on the side of the pool waiting for their turn with an instructor. Classes are built around a flow of participation, learning and practice. Tailored programs include Swim Surge, a four-day in a row program for fast progress, and Water With Me, a water acclimation and survival program for six-to-36 month-old children and their guardians. All classes are taught using the proprietary SaferSooner Method, customized lessons for early-stage learners to create the fastest path to survival and safety.
